Orion

Orion is an enormous and very recognizable constellation many places on Earth, especially around and during winter, and is usually said to depict a man or a god. Many of Orion’s stars host life and consciousness (note that many stars and planets are conscious). Creatures from Orion can be called Orinians.

Orion loves comets. It just wanted me to say that.

It is known that stars love truth, or they would not know how to stay true to their shape, orbit, and course through space. Alnilam is center point star in Orion’s belt. An enormous blue star, Alnilam is associated with intuition and truth, like the human image of listening to one’s gut. Astral dragons come from Alnilam, and they travel the Universe. They resemble Chinese lung, but exhibit no scales on their bodies. They are sapient, highly intelligent, fascinating, love studying humans and other sapient beings, and are aligned Lawful Good (Good in Lawful Good meaning always proactively striving for good objectives and good actions). A being known as Dragon God Emperor of the Universe hails from Alnilam. Yes, he is a big deal, and he is aligned Lawful Good.

Rigel is a star that identifies as having an etheric face, and may also identify as having one or more giant etheric lifeforms, all of which are Lawful Good (Good in Lawful Good meaning always proactively striving for good objectives and good actions). As Rigel is a multiple star system, it is unclear whether the face is on the same star as the giants.

The star Bellatrix has stellar sentient life at etheric densities. They are mostly female, dark yet colorful, and look sort of like fish yet humans yet cartoons. They are aligned Neutral Good (Good in Neutral Good meaning always proactively striving for good objectives and good actions).

Eta Orion is also known as the Ensis, Orion’s sword. The astral planet Ensis 4 houses etheric sentient life, which also resembles fish, if they walked around on their tails. They have whiskers like catfish. They keep small animals that look like little fuzzy balls as pets. Ensis 4 has one etheric moon, and they love it. They are aligned Neutral Good (Good in Neutral Good meaning always proactively striving for good objectives and good actions), and are related to the species found on Bellatrix.

Meissa is multiple star system. Meissa B, its second largest star, is itself a sapient astral creature, which is a particular kind of star. Meissa B is aligned Neutral Good (Good in Neutral Good meaning always proactively striving for good objectives and good actions).

Alnitak is a triple star system. Alnitak B has stellar sapient life at etheric densities. They are like highly intelligent bipedal kittens, slightly translucent, who build picturesque astral villages. They say they love themselves, and want everything to be okay. They are aligned Neutral Good (Good in Neutral Good meaning always proactively striving for good objectives and good actions). Alnitak C has a planet green with rich astral plant life and astral mantis creatures, who are sapient. They are aligned Chaotic Good (Good in Chaotic Good meaning that they always proactively striving for good objectives and good actions).

Saiph is a giant star with an etheric planet that has one etheric moon, which both contain etheric sapient beings that slightly resemble grey pill bugs with several different features, including very different faces, and that roll around as their means of locomotion. They have many species on the planet and moon that they consider their friends, some of which look like small mammals, some like small reptiles, and some like large arthropods. They have a single monotheistic religion, which is very important in their culture. They are aligned Neutral Good (Good in Neutral Good meaning always proactively striving for good objectives and good actions).

Betelguese is the brightest star in Orion, and it has many planets and a wealth of life. One of the astral planets that orbits Betelguese could be called Betelguese 2, and it has sentient creatures that resemble etheric kittens. They are aligned Neutral Good (Good in Neutral Good meaning always proactively striving for good objectives and good actions). An astral planet that could be called Betelguese 4 has etheric oceans with astral fish, which are sapient. They are aligned Chaotic Good (Good in Chaotic Good meaning always proactively striving for good objectives and good actions). Betelguese 4 has a moon with sapient aliens that have a fae nature, look like wee pixies, are cute, know flowers on their moon, and are (perhaps curiously for fae) aligned Lawful Good (Good in Lawful Good meaning always proactively striving for good objectives and good actions). An astral planet that could be called Betelguese 10 is home to sentient (nearly sapient) creatures that are humanoid, small, cute, and grey. They wear what look like spacesuits. They want me to mention that they get their helmets for free. They may be distantly related to the Toliman grey aliens. They are are aligned Chaotic Good (Good in Chaotic Good meaning always proactively striving for good objectives and good actions). Betelguese sometimes signals to other star systems by adjusting its brightness.

As mentioned above, Earth’s constellation of Orion is often seen as a man or a male god, though the Rigveda refers to that collection of stars as a deer. Orion’s belt is a major feature in Mexico, where indigenous Seri tradition associates those three stars with three animals a hunter might pursue: a bighorn sheep, a mule deer, and a pronghorn. In Spain and parts of Latin America they’re known as the three martyrs, and in Puerto Rico they’re the three wise men. In North American Lakota tradition, those stars are the spine in an enormous buffalo in the night sky.
